Lions Clubs International Foundation
LCIF is the grant-making arm of Lions Clubs International (LCI). Its mission is to support the efforts of Lions clubs worldwide in serving their local communities and the world community as they carry out essential humanitarian service projects.
LCIF receives donations, primarily from Lions worldwide, and in turn,
provides grants to support Lions' humanitarian service projects. The foundation's main
focus is blindness prevention, but grants are also approved for a wide range of projects
that help people who are disadvantaged. Emergency and catastrophe grants make it possible
for Lions to be on the scene within hours of a disaster bringing essential relief items.
The foundation supports the SightFirst program, which is Lions' global prevention
initiative.
