Scunthorpe Lions are proud to support these organizations and initiatives on a regular basis. 

Christmas Pantomime

Each year the Scunthorpe Lions book the whole of the Plowright Theatre for one evening. This is so we can distribute free tickets to those deserving children who otherwise would never attend such a magical event. It is an event that all Lions look forward to because with it being the season of goodwill and merriment they enjoy seeing the fun and happiness that the pantomime brings to all those little people, and I'm sure that everyone who attends goes away with a big smile on their face. Christmas Hampers

Even in these current times there are people who we feel really benefit from a special gift of a Christmas hamper. These hampers provide the very basics that the majority of us would take for granted at Christmas time. These are distributed to people who may be lonely or poor and the message is simple 'Merry Christmas from the Lions and your community'

Message In A Bottle

We support this nationwide Lions initiative. This scheme is free to the user. Whilst it is focused on the more vulnerable people in our community, anyone can fall downstairs or have a car accident, so this scheme can benefit anyone, including you. As a minimum it will save the Emergency Services valuable time identifying you and your emergency contacts. By telling whether you have special medication or allergies or not, it is a potential lifesaver and provides peace of mind to users and their friends and families.  Click here for more information.

Childrens Ward

The Scunthorpe Lions have teamed up with the Glanford and Lindsey Lions to provide a supply of overnight bags of toiletries for the children's ward at Scunthorpe General Hospital. This has been a successful campaign that has been running since 2002. It is aimed at parents who suddenly find themselves at the Hospital with their child. It gives them a few home comforts during what is always a difficult time. 

Childrens Ward & Accident and Emergency

The Scunthorpe Lions have teamed up with the Glanford and Lindsey Lions and Brigg & District Lions to provide a supply of soft toys for those Children who find themselves being in the unfortunate position of having to use these facilities. The soft toys are Lions and are tagged with the Club name. We hope they bring a smile and help in difficult times. 

Lincolnshire House

The Scunthorpe Lions club are pleased to be associated with Lincolnshire House. We have always supported this worthy cause. Lincolnshire House is a voluntary organisation which has provide residential care and support for people with Cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities in the Scunthorpe area since 1966.

St Hughs School

The Scunthorpe Lions club are pleased to be associated with St Hughs special School. From helping with a "Climbing wall" to an "Eglu" we always find it an inspiring place to visit.
